Haha, driving in the city has never been this good. The car can sit in traffic all day and not lag like it used to. Of course, it wouldn't hurt to get a better filter and bigger pipe.

When that gets knocked off tomorrow, you’ll be able to reinstall the undertray...

This is a bad idea.

Move the intake.

Seriously dude, others here have been "suggestive", but this is so boneheaded that Im telling you...
Move that intake to a safer place.

LET me re-iterate, drove and race 2 weeks on the harsh streets of San Francisco, NO PROBLEMAS.
It'll never come off until I jack up the car and get my 8mm socket. The filter is in a SECURED area and will never get knocked over even if I ran over street curb.
It has over 7 inches of ground clearance, so no hydrolock. Besides this ain't no Thailand or Miami.

btw why are you guys so quick to judge? Have you done it before and failed? I've done it and it works fabulously.

actually, a friend of mine has done that and it did fail...miserably. Did you ever think of how soaked that thing gets driving in the rain?

No not turbo lag but I mean it in a underpowered, wimpy, gutless kind of way. Not very eager to pull to redline...

You'll not see my filter(& neither has last weeks rain) when standing any distance away from my car, it's tucked above to where you have to jack up the car to see my filter, which was how I snap the picture. Looks is deceiving....

Drive that once in the rain and it will be soaked. Ever seen how much water spray your tires throw up? Not to mention all the **** off the road that’s in that spray! The idea is good, the execution bad. Get that filter into the radiator inlet area. It’ll work just as well without all the problems.
And put that undertray back on...

Yeah well that picture was taken AFTER last friday's rain, so it still looks pretty clean fortunately and expectedly cuz it's tucked way in there, and not next to the license plate as some of you might think.
BUT thanks for all your concerns. Truly appreciate the feedback. More refinements to come, but relocation is not in the works.

I cant beleive you beleleive what your spouting here.

Your location for the intake SUCKS.

Sucks water
Sucks oil
Sucks grime

I dont care how long you have driven it.

Its just russian roulette that you are playing with your engine.

One day, youll drive from point A to B, and it will rain all the way youll hit a small rock and make a hole in your softened filter.

then seconds later...

BAM!!!!

Call me Psychic.

well if you cut a hole to mount the intake right there, why not mount it in the brake duct?
