damnit my car is eating gas like no other... 53 miles to a half tank... wow thats some good gas milege!!! Is there anyway to tune down the hks Fcon so im not dumping fuel into my car like no other... seriously this is my Daily driver and with about 100 miles on every fill up i dont think imma be able to drive this every day!!! mods are in my sig

 

Stupid HKS FCON?... and you're asking if there is a way to tune it down?... Your car must be running like crap if your're consuming that much fuel. What is your idle RPM?

Yes, there are a couple of things you can check, although I think you have other issues. Open the
F-CON up and you should see an adjustment screw numbered 1 thru 9. In addition make sure you have the correct "ROM", if not change it. In the US it should be labled "E149"(stock) or "E1102"(sport turbo).

yes finally someone who is knowledgeable!!!! my car idles a 700-750 rpms see the thing that gets me is my car boost 8-9psi from 4-6k then it drops down to 5 till redline after 6k rpms.... i know my car is runnin hella rich cuz i romp on it till about 5500 rpms let off and itll flame till about 3k hahah

 

if you romp on it, your not going to get good mileage, period. I can get over 300 miles to a tank on my car and have more mods. You shouldnt have to lean the fcon, you should relax the right foot.

 

i dont romp on it that much i only started to notice it after i had my dad drive it to cerritos and back then i noticed it... and my dad doesnt drive cars hard at all.... hehe im talking like 3k shifts hahaha i asked him if he get on it at all he said nah just cruised 5th gear all the way to cerrtios at 65-75mph... and no my dad doesnt lie either he gots a major light right foot

 

check your o2 sensor.

 

I floor mine around all day long and still get 325km to 3/4 tank. (200 miles?) so your foot is not your problem. try unpluging the f-con and taking it easy and see if it gets better.

 

I have a light right foot!..come over to LA and let me test drive that beast!...i bet after i finish a tank full your gas milage will be on the 300s..LOL..

 

hhahaha ya right :P anyways does anyone know the bolt pattern on the rx7 is it like 5 x 114.3? hehe

 

And have a fresh, thick coating of carbon in your housings to boot!
