As far as the intake go's, go with a honda prelude 92-96 intake, just cut it to work. The short ram air intake does nothing, unless you make a cold air box.

ps. you have to remove the windshield washer container and cut a hole.

the air pump is solely to feed that catalytic converter for emissions. If you do not need to pass emissions nor have a cat DITCH IT!! if you need to pass emisions you'll need the air pump to help the cat burn hotter.

One thing I experimented with, was taking the belt off my smog pump. The difference I noticed was losing the feel once I reached my powerband at 80mph. Usually, when it hit 80, I would autmatically feel the speed, but once I took the belt off....I felt nothing. I put the belt back on. I took the belt off of my air pump since I had no AC. I just haven't taken it off.

That kinda didn't make a lot of sense... lol. Are you saying your car felt slower with the air-pump belt disconnected?

Removing the cat and airpump kills the aux ports. without the cat on S4 there is not enough backpressure to run the actuators. On an S5 the parts are run only by the airpump.
