anyways its all fixed up now you live and learn right
at first I thought this was a joke. but he did make a thread on the newbie section and someone (not pointing fingers) told him it was normal for "oil" to be in the a/c lines. which is why he thought he was doing it right.
here is the link to his other thread. don't blame the guy it was an honest mistake.

You need to lay off the weed, judging by the 420 in your username.
Yes. That is indeed the oil cooler. The first clue should have been the OIL coming out when you disconnected the lines.
DO NOT START THE ENGINE WITH THESE LINES REMOVED!!!
Secondly, if you had A/C, cutting the lines is a VERY BAD IDEA... Freon will escape at a temperature of about -40 deg F (Yes, NEGATIVE 40) ad result in serious frostbite damage to your hands or whatever it sprays on.

Look at it this way too, those old lines usually leak and need to be replaced, so you just replaced them a little early and got to know your car a little better while you were at it. Keep at it and keep reading on this forum and you will do just fine at fixing your own ride.

As far as the weed part, I'm all in favor of legalization... I think it's just as safe as alcohol. I might partake occasionally if I didn't get random tests at work. However, I wouldn't be smoking or drinking before I had important **** to do, like working on cars.
For future reference, pick up a copy of the factory service manual... You can download it here:
http://foxed.ca/foxed/index.php?page=rx7manual
It has a breakdown of all the individual systems that make up the car and how to take them apart... Very useful in working on these cars.
The Haynes manual is available at the local auto parts store and costs only $18. it's also pretty useful.
my god ive seen it all now
i guess since it is yr first car i could see things happening let this be a lession, be VERY careful and research very heavily before doing anything to the car, you can quickly make things worse before better.
