Think about where all those forces are gonna go, now that you've isolated that front mount. Your rear mounts are going to hate you.

New diff mount and a pinion snubber.

I just had Turblowns mount installed but couldn't get the snubber installed because I'm poor and can't afford more wrench time.

They claim it will last longer than the stock ones and comp mounts. I hope they're right because I've gone through 3 in 4 years.

A friend of mine had metal mounts all around. Worst ride ever, and couldn't imagine it was all that good for the car.

I don't know why you couldn't afford a pinion snubber, they're only 9 bucks. There's a dimple on the trans tunnel between the storage bins. Drill there, plop the snubber in from under with however number of washers you need to set preload, tighten, done. I just finished mine tonight along with a new comp mount. Did several launches, and bad launches at that. No wheel-hop, no clunk.

I recieved my limited slip diff w/ a broken rear mount from ebay because they packaged it poorly. I have it at a local welder that I personally trust but he doesnt have anything that can properly heat the entire loop for a good as new weld. So I am in the same boat as him. I am curious if the case is the same on a s5 turbo diff as the case on the s5 non turbo diff.

The turbo diff case is significantly larger than the N/A diff case. So no, they are not the same.

alright so thats a bad idea... any suggestions for the mounts then? i know stock wont do the trick but maybe mazdaspeed makes a comp one? id like to hear some opinions on different mounts. that pinion snubber sounds like an easy process, is it easy to get to the place to mount it?

You're gonna replace the diff mount anyway, so during the process of that, you can install the pinion snubber. It's easy at that point. Get a comp mount, along with your standard bumpstop from either Energy Suspension (http://energysuspension.com/pages/bsp2.html #9.9101) or Dorman Help! Products #31052. Ideally the bumpstop should be about 2-1/2 - 3 inches.
