Busted Door Lock

Well my lock busted on my door. I locked it and now its stuck locked. I got the door panel off but I still can not figure out what I can do to unlock it manually. Anyone ever had to do this before?

if the lockcyl is siezed you'll have to pull the rod off the lock cyl. and then push it to the unlocked position...

but im curious if the door was locked, was it closed? if it was how did you manage to get eh door panel off with the door shut? sorry for the side note there.

I got it off somehow with the door closed. It wasnt easy but I did it. You happen to know where the thing I need to move is? Its kinda hard for me to see down in there.

How would that info help get into any other car than mine? Im in the inside of the car looking through the big holes in the door trying to get the little lever to unlock. Thanks for the lack of help...

They don't pull down, they go from left to right, you'll have to get a firm grip on them if the lock is busted and yank either way for the easiest way possible

You'll need a screw driver to push a pin about the 1cm large up to unlock the door.
Then there should be a broke spring somewere in the jumble of rods.
Either get a new spring for it or take the old one and reconnect it like I did. Havent had a problem since. I had to cut threw the inside of the door to reach the srping. But now I think of my self as a Pro as far as the doors go =)
But yah, yor describing the exact issue I had, The hardest part is unlocking it with the screw driver, and then finding the small spring.
Let me know if it work.

My drivers side lock doesn't unlock 9/10th's of the time. To unlock it from the outside I have to try turning the key about 100 times.

Results: I just don't lock my car.

I REALLY doubt they can get it started and I keep nothing worth stealing. Hell, my STOCK tape player isn't even hooked up.

mine unlocks with any key.
I got a new handle from crap yard and you can unlock it with a pennie if you wanted to lol.
was too lazy to swap the key holes.
i might get around to it sometime. I use to not lock it. but then the handle broke and I couldn't open it from outside had to go threw passenger side door.
So ambarasing opening the door that way. But now im good and everything works.
even fixed my Dash and parking light last weekend. The post icemark made didn't work for me, only made my switch smoke up lol.
2nd gen doors are messed up.
