Bunch of Questions... Possibly buying a parts car...

Ok a parts car has came up in my area.

It's a s4 tii.

Right now i have a s5 n/a.

I am planning on doing a tii swap later on.

I am under the impression that i can use the s4 tii drivetrain parts in my conversion (driveshafts, halfshafts, tranny, etc. etc. etc.).

Also what else from this car could i use in my conversion?

the Tii hood, the mirrors.

Also would the s4 windshield fit in my s5?

Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks.

there shouldnt be any reason the windshield doesnt fit, they are the same design from what i can tell. you can use the whole driveline with relative ease. get all the aero parts from the tII onto your car like the front lip if it has one or the underbody tray. they may seem pretty pointless but the underbody tray greatly helps the aerodynamics of the front of the car. better airflow to the engine bay and better airflow underneath the car. if i were to do a tII swap into my s5 i would take a s4 drivetrain, they are cheaper and the s4 LSD is a little better than the s5 turbo LSD.

ok cool thanks.

Only worry is that it would work with a s5 tii engine still right?

As long as i use the proper flywheel.?

all tII trannys are the same. the only difference was the LSD. the s5 tII engine would fit right in perfectly.

Rememebr if you do a series swap you will need your original series front cover and OMP.

Your ECU will go into limp mode if you use a mech omp.
