Question bumper cover mod

i know youve all seen the nose kits that have the headlights in the stock location, but the bumper in front of them has been removed and part of the headlight cover is cut off. well ive been thinkin of trying to modify my bumper to look like that. this is on an 88. my bumper cover is already cracked in a few places (well, the paint is flaked anyway, the bumper has been smooshed and pushed back out) and i want to change it to the 89+ style anyway so im not terribly worried about this not coming out right. there seems to be a metal bar just under the top of the bumper cover that i would have to cut. is this going to be a bad idea? anyone think i should try it? heres a link to a picture basically what i want it to look like: http://www.fc3s.com/2gallery.mv?browse+74

I think that would look better with dual H4's in each spot rather than the rectangle lights. My .02c.

Yup, duel headlights on each side would be better. that resembles a Nissan.

1) That is not a modded stock front bumper.&nbsp It's actually a thousand dollar aftermarket front bumper from Japan with plexi covers for the headlights.

2) Amazingly enough, those set-ups give you inferior headlight illumination patterns versus the stock system due to the sides of the headlights being recessed in the bumper.&nbsp You get fine straight light, but your side illumination is reduced.&nbsp This is the reason a lot of those front bumper kits have holes for aftermarket auxiliary lights.

Ya, dual lights would definatly look better, I am going to be doing a conversion sometime- just torn between pop-up duals with a shortened rod to only come up halfway, and flush lights with plesiglass over them.....
I don't really like the RE kit that much, the lights are too big and square. Check this kit out- it is by FAR the nicest front end (and entire car!) I have EVER seen on an FC. Anyone know who makes it? It would be hard to fab though.
I love this kit. I want a bigger pic though.

now that i look again at the picture, it must be cosmodonk's car, since that pic is posted by Futahaguro, which was his name on the FC3S board
