Built transmission????

I have a friend that is going to be building up his engine in about four months.

The problem is the transmission. He is running a GXL, 87 I think. His transmission is about gone. We are wanting to find a company that sells transmissions. He is needing something with strengthend gears.

He will be pushing anywhere from 350 to 450 rwhp (he hopes), on a super charged engine.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Rob at Pineapple will be a NA Miata geared tranny that will hold 300HP. Cost ~ 1000-1100

Your best bet is to convert to a TII tranny and Rear-end. Is he is pushing thise kind of numbers the NA diff will not handle the torque

I have the tranny but I'm in Houston. 5th gear syncro is starting to go though. I don't need the tranny and I have a starter too.

Banzai,
I will check back with you in a couple of weeks.

Rotarygod,
Houston is too far for me to drive. I do appreciate the offer, though. Banzaitoyota is just down the road from me, in the next state.

thanks guys.
