bubbles in oil, and lots of smoke
this has just been a bad week for my car...
i was driving to work this morning it was fine on the freeway, then i'm stopped waiting in traffic and i start noticing some smoke... it went away once i out out of traffic for a little while then huge clouds of smoke started pooring out of my exhaust... it's light grey in colour...
i let the car sit till lunch time and i went out to check a few things...
i checked the oil it looked fine, a little bit high becasue i added some last night.. i probably added little too much but i don't see why this would cause the smoke...
i checked coolant it's still full.. i start the car and check for bubbles in the coolant fill hole there were none...
i let the car run for about a minute before turning it off... the smoke was filling the parking lot pretty quickly... i checked the oil again it looks liek there's air bubbles in it... other than that the oil still looks in good shape though...
i forgot to check for smoke coming out of the oil fill hole while i was out there withit running, i will do this later inteh afternoon...
my best guess is that an oil seal gave out... unless adding too much oil would cause this(unlikely i think)...
does anyone else have any other opinions or ideas on what this could be?
thanks... hoping for some good news hehe...
not looking forward to driving home from work leaving smoke screen behind me though...

hey you know what it might be is your oil metering rod is stuck open. If there is a hose nearby or something, it might be blocking it from coming down.
If youre at like 4,000 rpm, and the rod cant fall back down to idle position, it would allow the 4000 rpm level of oil injection to flood your engine. and the oil will burn un the engine and youll get smoke.
check it with the car off, the rod should move freely up and then when you let go,it should drop all the way.
