Is this BS?

I was told by 2 people, who I trust, that a fellow thats owns alot of RX7s told them the dashboard and all the **** in it, weights about 400 to 500 lbs...


Is this BS??? or misunderstood?

Thats sounds like a load of ****. Maybe if you include the spare tire, jack, carpet, seats and sound deading material.

to me the dashboard = dash. If so then this is BS. there's a bunch of crap but at most it would be around 150lbs.

there is no wasy that the DASH weighs 150lbs, mabey if they meant the heater core, and all the ducts and wiring, but that wouldn't even be close to 150.

I did a s4 maroon, to black s5 interior conversion, and I would guess that the dash weaghs about 50los. I am talking about the dash by it's self w/o the raido, and cluster in it. I did notice that the s4 dash was quite a bit lighter than the s5 one. I can weigh the s5 one when I get home tonight.

naw thats way to much weight the dash it self with nothin in it is maybe 75 lbs. b.s
