Broken rear diff mounts in the ears? Is there a better replacment than stock bushing
I took out my T2 diff and noticed that the bushings inside the mounting ears (not the front diff mount bushing) are all cracked and look like they need to be replaced.
Should I replace them with stock Mazda bushings.... or is there a polyeurathane replacement offered?
Who has the best prices on these bushings?
Car is setup primarily for drag racing and sees 1.70 60ft times and soon to be pushed harder with 1.50 60ft times as the goal on slicks.
Any insight would be appreciated.... anyone ever broken these or replaced them? It looks like a press will be required to get these damn things out and replaced with new ones..

Good times! That things gotta be a bad ride!
Anyway, I haven't heard of diff bushings though that doesn't mean they don't exist. The Mazda Comp catalog doesn't list any. Speedsource would be a good place to try. If all else fails have a machine shop make a set of delrin or aluminum bushings.
That said, if you're tearing up rubber, anything stiffer will transfer that load to the aluminum housing even more. I'd hate to crack one of the batwings.

You can get a Mazdaspeed rr diff. mount thru corksport.com. my car used to clunk in the back and this part has MUCH stiffer rubber in it.
let's try that url again: www.corksport.com
I'm sorry to bump an ancient thread but I have essentially the same question.
I'd like to replace both of these bushings circled below with stronger units (one is ripped a bit on the TII diff I got).

I cut a 1.79 on the stock n/a open rear so I'd like something stronger if possible.
I tried looking around on Corksport but I didn't see any, unless it was in the big kit they list.
Would it be good to replace the bushings on the front of the subframe also? Or are those usually ok? If I should replace those too which would you guys recommend?

Ahh, they are hiding in the drivetrain section, I was looking in the suspension > other category.
It's hard to believe they are that expensive though. Are there cheaper ones out there that are just as good? Do you think that is just for the two 'ears', or does it include the ones on the front of the subframe also?
