Brakes Help

The other day while i was sitting still at a light my brake pedal wnt to floor. not real fast or anything just with the weight of my foot it just crept down there. now everytime i go to slow down the pedal will go to floor all slow like and when it gets to the floor the car will stop. right after it first happened i noticd that i was low on brake fluid so today i toppd it off and they still do the same thing. any thoughts would be much appreciated

sounds like a vacuum leak on your brake booster. Check all the line going into the booster and follow it back searching for cracks, hardening, or worn ends. Replace if neccessary.

You can try bleeding your brakes, couldn't hurt.

If you werent losing fluid I'd agree with the vac leak, but since you are, you definitely have a leak in the system. Obviously, check this out ASAP. Get somebody to pump the brakes while you look for fluid dripping from under the car (or vice versa).

You probably have the same problem I had in my GTO. My pedal would go to the floor and smoke would come out from under the hood. Turns out a line had a pinhole in it and was squirting fluid right onto the drivers side header.

Obviously dont drive your car until its fixed....good luck!

I have the same problem but I am not loosing fluid. Over time my pedal has stopped creeping so slowly and tends to fall faster. What do you think this is?

Master cylinder leaking fluid in the vacuum booster would be my guess.
