Question Brake question????

1- Who has rebuild his brakes caliper with the kit offer by mazdatrix? Is this to dificult? Should it be better be made by a certified mechanic?

2- does any body has experience with power-slot brake rotors? if yes, How is the performance in comparison with stock? HOw much time you have been using them? What type of driving you make( solo, cruising, etc.)?

I have rebuilt my brake calipers with Mazdatrix's kit. It is SOOOOOOOOO easy. I didn't know crap about brakes, until I comletely overhauled my brake system, new rotors, pads, new front calipers, rebuilt the rear calipers, replaced MBC, SS brake lines. Rebuilding the rear-calipers was a cinch. Its just a matter of replacing a few seals, dust boots, greasing up the piston, cleaning everything up and putting it back together. Once you see the parts, its pretty self explanatory. Are you doing the fronts, rears, or both? The fronts wouldn't be any harder, except for more pistons to rebuild per caliper. I have some pics I can send you if you want. PM me if interested.

It's not hard to do. You might need to buy a couple of tools. The slotted or drilled rotors are not legal in many solo classes so you may want to be careful and check the rules of the organization you're planning to run with.

As long as your aren't running stock class, slotted and x-drilled are allowed in all other classes I think.

in that case I must be in other class, because of the intake, springs and cat-back. right?

Springs are not allowed. Catbacks are allowed. Some intakes are ok, as long as the stock airbox remains. So adding a K&N Cone style intake will make you no longer eligible in stock class.
