brake help!!!

I am doin the pads along with other maintainance things on my s5, i have the 4 piston calipers, i cant get the two pistons on the inside of the caliper to go back in. Used a clap wouldnt budge. Can anyone offer any help what should i do to get these these back into the caliper so i can fit the new pads in ?? thax

if i remember right but not sure mazda might be the put in type of piston, what u do is either a get 4inch c- clamp and push it down so that way you dont have to mess with the brake fluid, and represurize the system.

i left the old pad in there and put the clamp on that also i put a piece of scrap aluminum on the back of the caliper so i didnt mark it up and then used a clamp to push them back in worked like a charm

but i also had the caliper completly off the car cause i was puting in SS lines as well

i cant do it with a c-clamp ive tried they are too strong i guess you could say. i got the 2 pistons on the outside back in easy but the inside ones are too tough. any other suggestions

for some reason they are too stiff to use a clamp i have a set from my 88 that are off and i couldnt even push those back in with the clamp, Whats the deal here. Neone else with some help?

i do brakes with c clamps all the time.. work like a breeze.. it a little hard to push in but the clamp always does the trick

try one piston at a time. should work. if they are honestly jammed, you are probobly looking at a caliper rebuild, but try doing them one at a time first.

If you cant get them to push back in you could try forcing them outward to loosen them. Are the callipers of the car ?

Put something between the pistons and brake disc to protect the disc then press the brake pedal to force them out. It might help loosen them.
