Brake Fluid flush Question

Ok, I'm installing new brakes, and I want to flush the system. The question is: How much brake fluid should I buy? The car is an 86 GXL.

How much extra will I need to flush the clutch system also?

Thanks for the help!

We are talking a max of 4 bottles for both systems.

Well, bottles are different sizes. So, if it is a big bottle (I use the big bottle) then it will take no more than 2 bottles. If it is a small bottle, then like silverrotor said max of 4 bottles.

Correct. I was refering to the standard 500ml bottles. I'm not to keen on overhanging a big bottle of Brake Fluid over my Engine Bay. Oops. There goes the paint.

aren't we forgeting about the head light fluid? be sure to use HID 4 fluid, it'll make your stock lights look like HIDs!!!! it also need to be replaced with the brake fluid :p

I just buy big 2L bottles of brake fluid Its less expensive in the long run. Plus one less reason to go back to the store.
