bov...

my roommate has a 10th ae.. he just got it about a week ago.. he put a cone intake filter on it.. after a days worth of driving he noticed we notice we were able to hear the stock bov... and this was yesterday.. it kep getting louder and louder.. i told him that it probably shouldnt be doing that... but we kinda just blew it off.. today it was even louder.. and at idle it would cut off.. so we put the stock intake back on and it idles fine now.. but the bov is still really loud. .and the car is not holding boost anymore.. yo can here air leaking really loud before it reaches full boost.. should we just by and aftermarket bov..

check the vacumm hoses runnin to the stock bov, and all the other hoses for that matter, make sure none of them popped off. but the stock bov will make a little more noise when u put on an intake. it should not die though

I would double check all the vaccum lines and the intercooler pipes too. they might be loose or torn. you might have hit something when taking the intake box out or something.

getting an aftermarket bov wouldn't fix it, if anything it would just make the car run worse.
