Talking Found a good use for the AIR Pump baffle...

I took out my ACV and AIR pump baffle... buddy asked if he could use it on his KA-T 240sx, this is what he did with it.

You can barely hear the BOV... it's pretty awesome!

Don't BOVs get rid of compressor surge and other nasty things like that?

BOV's arent needed, theres a few threads on them in the single turbo section.

haha i have my smog pump only hooked up for running 5th/6th & VDI via RPM switches, & it goes from the exhaust of the smog pump directly into the muffles

On aftermarket turbos bov's are not required. I have personally observed compressor surge kill stock turbos in only a couple weeks after converting to no bov.

I'm going to set the record straight... before my buddy put on this BOV, his turbo would surge every time. Maybe it changes from turbo to turbo... but his cheap China special turbo would definitely surge.

I contradict nothing.

The engine in the picture is a KA-T so it is obviously not running a stock turbo, hence the recommendation to run sans bov.

However because I know this forum and its inhabitants, I added that the stock turbo can be damaged by lack of a bov just in case someone read my initial comment and incorrectly deduced that bov's are never beneficial.

Or... you could just route it right back into the turbo inlet like stock...

Non-recirculated BOV for the win!

I think the little bit of richness that happens is probably safer for the engine anyways.... not to mention fireballs!! woot woot.
