***Transmission Part Interchangability Question***

This might be a dumb question, but I cant seem to find any info on it. Getting ready to do a t2 drivetrain swap on my na and when I received the transmission, the extension housing was damaged during shipping (just the cast mount, none of the internals). Its been pretty cold up here lately so i've yet to pull my stocker, but does anybody know if an na extension housing could be used on a t2 trans? From what i've found so far, they just "look" similiar, but that means nothing. Are these things even easy to come by or should I just send it back and start over? Its a low milage great trans that I got for a great price, so it would be nice to repair if possible. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't know if I can be of much use to you, but My5ABaby has a detailed transmission comparison here: http://howto.globalvicinity.com/gv_w...i=87&co=1&vi=1
I don't see any mention of physical bolt patterns, length, shaft diameter, etc. though! I'd appreciate if someone in the know could update that page to make it as useful as possible.

edit: this is from the FAQ:
Can I install the Turbo II transmission into an NA?

Certainly. But you need to also install:
-TII flywheel, clutch, pressure plate
-TII slave cylinder
-TII starter
-TII driveshaft, differential, axels
-Adapt the wiring.
Still no mention of the physicals though, aside from the drive shaft.
