I put one in and my mpg went up a little, so it works. It definitely works better than a 14+ year old sensor anyway.

Go with a 87 Mazda 323 Bosch sensor. Same size and all as the stock one but it comes with the correct connector on it so it just plugs right in, no splicing.

Well, I had to splice anyway since I have the RB header.

Autozone lists two Bosch Universal O2 sensors for my 87 TII - one has # 11027 for $17.99, the other 11025 for $24.99.

Anyone know the difference? (Please don't say "seven bucks!")

I used a bosch one from Upper Canada Auto Parts... a division of Best Buy. Cost me $30 canadian... worked well ... had to splice it of course.

But do you know if there is any difference between the two? They're both "universal" but they have different part numbers and different prices.

Thanks for the offer TakumiJr, but it would probably be easier for me to just go down to Autozone anyway..

this is the same thing I have said so many times--Autozone stocks this one here....for like 36 bucks, and it already has the correct plug! I have one on mine, and it works great. I don't know wht everyone makes so much about the universal one....just ask them for the one that is for your car--that is what I did and that is what I got! OR if you dont mind splicing, then save the extra 12 bucks. But either one is good.

I took one out of a 300zx, works just fine and cost me nothing from the junked car. There are no differences in o2 sensors assuming they are 1 wire and have the same threads. Just have to splice wires

exactly--it is just a SENSOR. It is up to your ecu to read the signals from the sensors and react accordingly
