Boost sensor vacuum line

I heard some dude on this forum mentioned to check your boost sensor vacuum line to see if its still got the "BEAD" in it? He suggested that as a solution to boost problems. Does anyone know what this "BEAD" his talking about is?...the line to the Boost Sensor from the Intake Manifold is just a plain ordinary vacuum line right?

No, there is a restrictor "pill" in there that restricts the boost to the sensor so that it does not see more boost than is really there. I used a NOS jet with the mushroom cut off and it worked fine. You need it to not hit fuel cut at low boost levels.

do you need a restricto pill for N/A cars as well? I am having some troubles that I believe to be boost/vacuum sensor related and am wondering if no pill might be part of the problem. (I had done the silicone vacuum line job a while back).

Nope, that is a TII soecific part. I know because when I did my TII conversion, I didn't have the damn thing and I would hit fuel cut at like 1500rpm!
