Would you say it maxes out or cuts out? Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? How about an FCD?

no i dont have an FCD. i have an aftermarket boost gauge...and yes, it maxes out.

when i get on the highway and mash the pedal, by the time i get to like 4000rpm, my boost has already been maxed out.

lol....autometer gauge with a HKS downpipe and custom mid-pipe....the exhaust is custom too...but it's cheap as hell cuz the previous owner set it up. that's probably my 'real' problem.

maybe i should really upgrade my exhaust system and see what happens. btw, when do you guys get boost in first gear? mine begins at about 4200rpm.

whats the RANGE on your boost gauge????

My Stock BOV is giving me *****, sometimes it seems like it doesn't close when the car goes from vac to boost and then it woun't hold full boost either.

Wastegate ported?? Though, even with a huge-*** port, you should still be making more boost... Maybe you're reading your boost gauge wrong. Is it a metric gauge? Maybe you're mistaking .5kg/cm2 for 5psi. I do that every so often, lol. At least none of my friends know anything about cars to notice, and besides, they usually stop paying attention to me if I start talking about my FC.

no worries, i have since taken care of teh problem.

the problem lied in the fact that i did not run a cat, and my exhaust setup was too restrictive.
so i put on a cat, FCD and new exhaust. car runs great..

i'm only getting 8psi, but hey, for once, my FC is running good. so it's all good.
