Boost Problems

ok, here's the scoop, `88 with a 60-1 turbo, F-con and GCC, no air filter, no smog pump, stock intercooler and my max boost is .3 kilo, any ideas as to why? I would think it should be higher then that, only been doing it since the 60-1 went on, with the stock on, I was barely pushing .5 any ideas?

Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? I sure hope you do. The stock instrumentation is inaccurate AS HELL. So far, i've been cheated by the temperature gauge, the boost gauge, and the fuel gauge. I wouldnt be surprised if the oil pressure gauge is out of whack.

I do run Defi-link guages in the car, I don't trust the stock ones to begin with, half the time they don't seem to work anyways. Hell I have some buzzer that is going off in the car I can't figure out what it's going to, there is no idiot lights on saying what the problem is, so I've been dealing with it, just turn the music up.. LOL

I had a crazy thought about the boost problems, could the size of the vac lines have a little something to do with it also? I'm beginning to think what is on there is too small from what I've seen earlier today.

That buzzer should not be ignored! I believe it is possible for the buzzer to go off even if the idiot lights are burned out. You MUST find out why the buzzer is going off, or you will regret it. It is probably either low oil or low coolant.

as far as the buzzer goes, I've checked all fluid levels yesterday and all is good right now, the only thing that was low was my windshield washer fluid and that was topped off.

I have good reason to suspect that my cats are bad even with the stock boost solenoid unplugged...

I get 2-3 psi WOT...

It's sad.

hybrid turbo or full to4 with wastegate?

WTF is a kilo?

do you have a boost controller?

with the new turbo (hybrid with ported WG or full). you are probably just creeping less and now running the spring rate. unless you have a boost controller.
