Boost problem

I'm not getting ANY boost in 1st gear, and don't hit 5psi until 5K in 3rd. Is this normal for a stock TII?

I installed a boost gauge 2 days ago, so I doubt that its broken, and is reading 5psi, but only in 3rd gear at higher rpms.

Pull your tid off, and check how easily your turbo spins.

Which line did you tap for your boost gauge?

I tapped into the line that the factory boost sensor is hooked up to, about 6" away from it.

Well, I just got my AFM adapter and installed my cone filter and a breather on the smog pump, and I'm hitting 5psi in 1st and 2nd, and 6psi in 3rd and 4th. I wonder why a little mod like that helped my boost go up so much?

Something was really crapped up....... make sure that you check all your vaccum lines... also.. make sure that the "t" you used to tie into the line is big enough and not restricting the pressure.... Hows that fuel cut feel??? or haven't you dumped the cat yet??
