Boost increase with DP & Intake?
I have a '88 TurboII w/104k miles on the engine. Everything is stock with the exception of a FCD.
I have a Bonez Turboflo DP and a Blitz intake filter that I have for the car. I bought the DP as a reliability mod more than anything.
I'm also planning on doing the TID mod, if my stock TID is cracked ( I know this increases boost ) and porting the wastegate.
Heres my questions:
1) How big of an increase in boost will the the DP and Blitz filter give me?
2) How big of an increase in boost will I get with the DP, filter and TID?
I'm worried about the stock fuel system not keeping up with these mods for now. This is my first forced-induction car and I dont want to blow it up. Thanks.

You will see a significant increase in boost? You probably will soon need to get a fuel pump, but maybe not untill you remove thet cat, and the catback, But i think that you'll wind up with a 5-6 increase, but somebody on here will prob say thats wrong. But anyways good luck, and have fun removing that downpipe.

depends on the FCD. some do that, not 50%, but you can still hit fuel cut . but the good ones keep it stock until right before fuel cutoff where they clamp the signal to the ECU so it still thinks you're at 8.5psi

Well I only see 7.5psi mostly with no cats at all and an intake. It has gone up to like 9 one single time with a 4th gear run though.
I first put on a MAZDATRIX 2 1/4 inch downpipe and presilencer combined with a K AND N. I only hit fuel cut on days colder than 50 degrees(or there abouts). In the summer, no fuel cut. I bought a DynoMax from Rotary Performance in DAllas to go with it, which in turn made me hit fuel cut in the summer(hot). Then I got to buy a fuel cut defender from Rotary Performance (RB part I think) and all was well. By the way, don't spend the 90 bucks for a fcd. Make one, which I did after the fact, for about five bucks of parts. Highly recommended diy project.
Notice I did not buy the full three inch exaust . Went with the smaller 2 1/4 pipe. The three incher might give different results from the above.
I did my version of the fuel pump rewire to go with the above. No fuel pump addition. Instead I bought a wideband air fuel meter from http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/wbo2.htm which indicates that I'm running rich at full throttle(talking 11.1 to 11.5) at 10psi boost. If the engine detonates, it won't be because a shortage of fuel. I think the wideband is a good investment, and dispells some notions about fuel I've seen on this site. Narrow bands are a waste (don't care what people did the last thirty years with them, ain't worth a tinkers damn). Money would be better spent on beer and Cuban cigars.
P.S. If you want, I'll sell you my RB fuel cut defender for fifty bucks and shipping. Only used for a week. Nice shiney black box. Pretty connectors. Even smells new.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll go ahead and install my DP and Intake.
Hailers:
Thanks for that link. I may buy one in the near future. Does the package come with everything BUT the NTK wideband sensor?
