I would just buy a guage from autozone and some vaccum line, and "T" in to the uim. Mount the guage by the radio or on the "A" pillar.

How about this: if the boost gauge isn't working, then there is a very good chance the ECU isn't seeing the signal either. That's not good at all. Same signal for the guage as the ECU.

You should be concerned.

Turn the key to ON, engine OFF. Backprove pin 2B and compare it to the reading given in the FUEL AND EMISSIONS section of the FSM, sub section called Control Unit.

If it reads what the FSM says, then don't worry too much about the boost guage. But there's no good reason it shouldn't register when you do a little boost.

By the way, the pink line in the jpg attached is the ground for the boost sensor.
The Red line(s) are for the sensor input to the ECU and the Boost guage.

While driving under boost smack the cluster sorta hard above the cluster. Boost gauge will jump to life.

Well it cured mine. That happened after I removed/installed cluster. I hit it a few times and it would bounce back to life. I've only had to do it a few times and it seems to work great now.

What are you going to try from here?
