I think they're lying bro. I had both bonez pipes, one with the high flow cat, one without it. None of them had that dent and I bought both from Rotary Performance.

It wont hurt performance very much, but when you pay that much for a pipe, you deserve to get it in perfect condition.

Yeah, definately not normal. As long as it isnt dented in further than the actual pipe diameter, it shouldnt effect performance.

Maybe clearance for the 'Vert subframe?

I've installed a bunch of these and never seen the dent before...Back when my car was NA I ran the Bonez high flow cat and presilencer which was dent free...

So it was on clearance? Dented cans half off! I have the presilencer on my car and it works and sounds great.
If you opt for the S4 version that opens the aux ports, all they do is drill and tap a 1/8NPT hole and use a brake fitting and a piece of 1/8" copper tubing lol.
Seems to work okay although it does tent to come loose occationally.

How much of a discount did they give you if it was "on clearance"?

I bought the catless, resonated pipe from them about 3 or 4 years ago. I bought the high flow cat from them about 1 year ago.

I got mine from rx7.com and it was dented just like that.
There was also a guy on the for sale that was dented like that.

Mine was for an S4.
