Bolt up header

OK lets try this again, damn proxy error. I want to know if there is an aftermarket header that will bolt up to the stock cats or a replacement pipe that bolts up to the stock header, i don't wanna weld

That would be pointless, as it would be way too short to do anything. You can get one that only bolts up to the last cat (the pacesetter header I belive does this, but its a POS) You can HAVE my Cat replacement pipe if you get the RB headers. (Just come pick it up )

Actually, since I'll be welding up a flange for my cat so it can fit the RB headers, if you want we can do yours at the same time.

Yeah I figured that would be the answer i got, what i was looking fr was kinda like a tubular aftermarked turbo manifold style header, but I think i should go with the RB i guess any ideas how loud a RB header to 3inch pipe to rb cat back will be, currently i'm running htat minus the header will the header make it as loud as people say?

I thought that I had replied to this question, but I don't see a post

Mindtrain makes a header that will bolt up to the stock cat, no welding necessary.

Basically, you have a few options with them, they make a combination of pieces that can replace sections of the stock exhaust as you want. Each piece aligns with factory parts so you choose only what you need.

You can buy each piece individually of course, header, pre silencer, silencer (replaces cat), 'y' pipe, and then mufflers.

i have a pacesetter header, it does attach to the stock main cat. it is not the highest quality but works just fine but obviously the rb is better but i got the pacesetter for like 120 off ebay.

oh i got it during the summer of 03' haha, 120 seems to be the best price they sell for. i think they have updated the design of it a bit so its not as bad as it used to be. a few years ago id read about pacesetter horror stories but i havent had any problems with flange warp or corrousion. i did have the ps catback on my 87 rx and it sounded great, i dont know how long the stuff would last b/c i sold that car but i didnt think they were as bad as what i had heard.
