BNR stage2 , stock power level possible ?
BNR stage2 , stock power level possible ?
Hey guys
I have a S5 and I plan to restore/upgrade it, but due to limited budget(family yeah), I decided to do 1 thing at a time
I got a BNR Stage 2 turbo from a friend of mine, was thinking can I put this turbo into my car first while keeping the rest of my stuff stock (like ecu/injectors/fuel/etc)
I have a HKS Boost controller and FCD
Cuz I was thinking it looks like it would work if I just keep the boost level at 0.62bar/9 psi, that's pretty much stock level of boost.
but it's not the same turbo so the flow will be different isn't it ?
Any input will be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

i'm running a V trim in a bored out stock housing, and with the boost control off, it boosts to .4/5.68 psi, which the stock ecu can totally handle
i'm going to have a hard time to get the boost UP!

I have the same turbo, like it a lot. If you were to change out the wastegate diaphragm on the bnr with one that runs stock boost levels, or is adjustable, then you likely wouldn't need the fcd, or boost controller. The system would function as intended, just with a slightly more efficient compressor.
