from stock FD to stage2, hows it feel?

ok im used to hondas where you spend 2000 on boltons and get 30hp to the fly...yea i know.....
now im picking up a 7 in a week or so and im gonna get the rx7store stage 2(intake/pulley/exhaust/pfc ecu)..
is this gonna totaly change the car or will it just be a lil more pull...

as you can tell i cant wait to get the car...

What all exhaust are you getting with the "stage 2"? If "exhaust" includes mid-pipe, downpipe and catback then IMO you will have alot more power than you have. At least alot of "noticable" power.

make sure you pick up a boost gause and mayeb a DP with that pack

try this:

APEXi intake
unorthodox main pulley (or full set of 4)
APEXi gt spec exhaust
PFC
SS downpipe (pettit, M2, etc..)
Boost gauge

that should help

I just took a look, here's what you get for everyone else's reference..

Apex Power Intake
Apex N1 Exhaust
Unorthodox Main Drive Pulley
Stainless Downpipe
Apex Power FC

I think with all this and tuned to 12 psi you'll like the way it feels and you'll notice a big improvment performance wise. I wasn't sure if it came with a DP or not and that one part alone adds alot of performance. You'll definatly think it's alot faster than it was.

As you may have read, the RX-7 has to be treated right to run right and last. Before doing the package you are talking about, do the following. Buy a boost and a/f gauge so you know where you are at and you dont detonate. Install a downpipe and ast. Make sure that everything is in good mechanical order...... Now, the PFC.... Play w/ it for a little while and get used to where everything is at. Then go for the cold air intake, catback and pully system*(not recommended). After this, you may need to install pellets in the waste gate so your boost doesn't creep past acceptable levels. In time, an intercooler and midpipe make for a damn quick car..... To answer your initial question, less the underdrive pully kit, I once had the same mods and it makes the car noticably quicker... Like 4.5 0-60 and 13.0 quarters if I had to guess..... Honestly, don't expect the 100 hp rx7 store quotes maybe more like 50-55rwhp for the kit as it sits.... Add a midpipe and you will be in good shape

thanks alot bro, im actually thinking the stage 4 now...but yea i will do all checks before hand, a new radiator too, new hoses..comp check...why no pulley?

stage 4 has
Apex Power Intake
Apex N1 Exhaust
Unorthodox Main Drive Pulley
Stainless Downpipe
Apex Power FC
Greddy Front Mount Intercooler
Midpipe
Fuel Pump

is it smart to buy the kits or can i do it cheaper one at a time..?

it doesn't really add the horespower it claims.. It is a simple momentum equation and you are not talking about much weight at all.... Maybe a 2hp gain in low end.... The downside is it underdrives the alternator and I have heard this can lead to premature failure? Maybe im just being biased because i've never installed one..? I think patience is a virtue w/ the rx.... buy them all at the same time if you would like, but install 1 at a time and make sure everything is right. All im saying is instantly puttng all the parts on the car the day you buy it takes the fun out.... Leaves you little to look forward to next month or pay check?
