I'd be surprised.

The most I have seen out of one of these is around 350. 60-1 compressor or not, the exhaust is still small.

I do think perhaps some aussie's are getting more out of it with a ported motor and some other tricks, but I"m not sure.

A guy here in salt lake can build you a killer motor. He's not cheap though. He can build a 13 second motor for $3000.

a 13 second motor for $3000? That's a lot of money for something not far off.

Do you think it failed because of your motor or because of your fuel setup?

Oh yeah, and I've definatley not see that on a stock ECU

Fuel and tunning. Just b/c the motor was kinda weak doesn't mean it's gonna pop. Running hi boost without proper tunning blows motors.

While I know J wanted this motor to let go, let this be a lesson to all who think they're going to stick on a bigger turbo and enjoy it without proper tunning.

It ain't gonna last.

Buy a wide band or be ready to drop some cash for someone to tune it.

I already have an FCON, don't you thik the fcon + the safc plus maybe 720 primaries and 1600 secondaries, walbro 255lph pump and the fornt mount will be enough to make 380-400rwhp. Mind you teh engine has an agressive streetport.

Sell all that and go stand alone. That stuff may work but it will be FAR less efficient than a standalone.

I used to run a Rebic III. I went to the haltech without changing anything else and there was a HUGE improvement in drivability. The car reved faster, idled better. Every thing was better.

You'll just have to be a little more creative with emissions.

Wait, I don't know what the Fcon does exaclty, I was thinking AIC.... no way can an AFC detune 1600's sufficiently to work on the stock ecu... that's just too many piggy back "thingies"

C,

Can you get a price from him please?

This is true.. I did exactly what I knew NOT to do, simply because I could. It was a fun experience! Now its time to either build a motor, or have someone build it.

dont be scurred!! its a fun learning experience...and you have more tools than i do!

Okay, here is the deal on me rebuilding it.. I am entertaining that idea. But I am being told that ONE porting mistake and you just bought a new plate... I am also considering Rotary Resurrection, or BDC as possible rebuilders.

Do you think it failed because of your motor or because of your fuel setup?

I highly doubt that. 2x 720s and 2x 890s, and I never exceeded 12 PSI? I think that the motor was just ready to go..

Thanks for all the responses!! Keep em spinnin!!!

J, I think between me, you and chris, we can rebuild the engine. I have all the tools we could need except for the bearing removal tools which I can get if needed. We just need to get your truck here and load up my stuff soon and get it turning.

LMAO!! If he wasnt so far away, I might contemplate that. But shipping would murder me. I am actually suprised that motor held on as long as it did...

Shipped an Engine from Florida to Nova Scotia, Canada last week. Strapped to the pallet and ready to bolt into the car it was 324lb shipping was $90.00 which included insurance.

R&L Carriers is the ****.

R&L is the ****.

I used them to ship my short block to Kevin in TN.

They just came to AZ. Shipping was about $140 one way.

AZ is the farthest west I think they are currently.
