blown turbo question

well the turbo finally blew on me two days ago. now i need to make a decision on what to do. should i just buy another T04B and replace it? or is there a turbo that will bolt in to where mine is thats maybe a little better? ive never had to deal with the turbo since ive bought the car so im a little uneducated. any input would be great. thanks guys

I would just have it rebuilt if I were you, that will ensure you don't have to modify anything( intercooler piping, downpipe etc). If you want some more power just turn the boost up.

go to www.bnrturbos.com. they can either rebuild yours or if you look there they do have upgrades that fit in the the stock location however they will require supporting mods as these turbos have been known to produce up to 400rwhp. Good luck and keep that thing nice! with that vert I would do very little as far as upgrading is conserned cause that thing is just too nice and runs too well!

Going to need a new compressor wheel, and or compressor housing.

Do you know why it broke off? Debris or shaft play?

I would do a compression check on your engine if I were you.

When you say t04B turbo, are you talking about a hyrbid turbo or a full upgrade?

Personally I asked if he would just toss in the p trim and leave the compressor alone.

I would say 720cc secondaries as well as a way to control the fuel. Something like an safc should work ok. Once you get that then just bring it to a tuners and have him tune it correctly.
