Blown apex seal?

The car is an 88 FC N/A. 157k miles. The car was had by an old guy who took very good care of it.

Altenator belt needed replacing so I did that. I'm driving the car down the road, just to make sure the battery gets back a charge. Nothing crazy, I'm going down hill decelerating, and it feels like I hit a fuel cut. Enough to jerk me forward in the seat. It seems fine I go down the hill to my apartment.

As I make the turn in it dies. I start it back up and it has a horrible idle with vibration. It feels like its only running on 1 rotor. We replaced the plugs, and cleaned the TB. We are changing the fuel filter today. I'm begining to think its a blown apex seal, but havent down a compression check yet.

Is there anything else this could be besides that?

If it died like that, you should try to see if the alternator wires are not crossed some where. If that doesnt work, check your fuel injectors. One may be bad.

Will try when I get home tonight. The altenator is good, I drove it 150 miles before the belt broke. Forgot to add that.
