blowed up engine, pics

pretty FC soon to have new life.

the clutch that has survived too many 7000rpm clutch drops at the track

another

another broken motor mount. i hate life. hopefully it can be fixed with just another bolt since they're "aftermarket"

rotor face scarring. notice all three pics have an apex seal IN TACT.

cant take the intake manifolds off til the motor is sitting down. they're whats being jacked up

more rotor scarring

aaaand yes, more rotor scarring... the front rotor looks perfect compared to this rear rotor

i guess when you take it apart you'll know what was really up? When corner seals go, the often take the ends of the apex seals with them. Probable cause? Only one way to find out.

i think it was the vac line that somehow came disconnected from one of the oil injectors on the rear rotor...

i got the engine down almost to "short block" form and the outside intake ports (1,4?) seem much larger than they should be... i got this engine from dave@ fc3s.org and i now believe that it has been medium-largely streetported, also due to the good times it ran at the track.

Whats all the rotor scarring from? You suck something in there? And what 1/4 times did you run? And Is that the bumper I sent you?

rotor scarring is from god knows what... the oil injectors' (closer to the top of the housing) vacuum line popped off somehow while driving so i think the rear rotor was just starved for lubrication... all the apex seals are still there (from what i can see anyhow), so luckily my turbo is fine.

i ran a 13.8 on stock exhaust, hollowed cats, at 13 lbs and racegas in the 1/4 a couple months ago (first time at the track with the car) and it seemed that the 2" exhaust was a huge restriction when running 13 lbs of boost...
i ran an 8.48@84 in the 1/8th mile (which equates to 12's in the 1/4 mile) after i got my 3" straight back exhaust on and tuned the car for ~12 lbs.

and yes, thats the bumper you sent me
