I rolled em prior to getting the wheels but they would stick out if I didn't. They just barely kinda stick in front, almost to where it's not at all. But that will be fixed when I get coilovers and just add some negative camber.

Update 3-12-07

Well, I got to drive at Drift Battle on Sunday and I must say it was great!! The car handled much better than I anticipated. Those who dis cut springs can shut their mouth! Once people post some pics up from the event I'll show you guys. There will be video too. My friend was filming most of the day and he's got some good footage. The motor ran perfect yesterday can't complain about that, but I do need a better clutch and tranny....anybody got a tranny!?. Even with crappy tires up front and rear I didn't understeer at all. I was actually able to hit the whole first and second turns with ease. I had enough speed my lack of power did not effect me, it's the low speed stuff that is a bit trickier. All in all it was a good day of practice and I really got to feel the car. I'm still debating on what kind/size of tires to get for the front, it's a hard choice. I think with good tires and coilovers I will improve greatly.

Oh by the way I primered the whole car too Saturday night at like 10pm so I didn't look all mis-matched at the track. It came out alright and hopefully I'll get a paint job in a couple months.

You're makin great progress, keep up the good (and thrifty work) You've almost got me thinkin about starting an N/A project, but on a student's budget my T2 is more than enough to keep me busy...

no I haven't eliminated the DTSS. Only thing I've done to the suspension is cut stock springs lol. But coilovers, bushings, etc. are in the near future. Thanks for the compliment man. I like your car! So clean not like mine lol. How did the car feel out there? With some practice you'll really enjoy the FC. Also, I took what you said about diving into the first corner on the big course and just floored into it, let off the gas real quick, and then got back on it. Worked like a charm and much better than taping the brake to slide it. Thanks!

Ahh so the rear steer didnt seem to have any effect on you, i wonder if yours even works anymore haha? I was having tons of fun w/ it haha. Id have a line going then next thing i know it starts to correct itself and toss me off my line. The owner before me told me that the DTSS actually works on the car and i guess he was right haha.

Doing all that with cut springs? Pretty slick, You definatly will do a lot better w/ a better setup. Thanks im glad my car stayed that way after the day was over haha. Before this FC i started drifting a FD and took it to 5 events and i couldnt get it to slide as nice as the FC. This FC is awsome and a lot easier to handle and easier to slide. With more practice i think ill get the hang of this car and should be throwing some wicked runs like you were. Glad i was able to help, the track set up was perfect for our car. Didnt have to change gears at all. I looked all the pix my friends took and there are some of you ill post them sometime soon.

Yea I'm not sure if the DTSS even works or not lol. Once I was sideways I dont think it made much of a difference. I was just focusing on the right throttle control to hold it all the way through the bank turns and slow down enough for the hairpin. I was hooked on the big course. I loved it so much I'm signed up already for the next event lol.

Spirit Rx7: As for the engine nothing is done to it except for the exhaust. I try to leave the NA as close to stock for the reliability. But I do still need an S5 tranny. But you're all the way in So-Cali. I might be heading down there for spring break. If I do I might pick it up.

thanks a lot man. I actually have a few clips of you. My friend tj actually loved your runs so much hes going to pick up a N/A fc to drift on now.

You know what i just found out. I was sooooo eager just to get out there i didnt bother messing around w/ my settings. The pervious owner before me put the coilovers on the car and i guess he set up the rears to the softest and the fronts stiffer. The car was set for grip haha. That would explain why when i was starting a slide it would correct itself and didnt want to stay sideways.

Yes my spin out runs!!! lol Thank you so much! I had good runs in there but those were the warm up ones. First vid was the first time I tried that course set up, so I went in slow. I think I got a good feel of the course as the day progressed I had a blast out there.

Tell your friend NA drift FC's are the best!! lol Only if I had coilovers!!! Instead of cutsprings lol

Oh and anyway I could save these to my comp...I suck with comps.

Sorry hehe yeah i noticed by the end of the day you were having some really good runs. My friends were trying to get everyone out there on tape and i guess they missed your good runs and a lot of other peoples good runs. They said they were frying out there in the middle of the track haha.

Just right click the link and save as.

Oh no worries at all I appreciate them just being out there. It was burning up that day. I think it was worse for them than the drivers. Next time I'll have to say whats up to the guys video taping for sure.
