I just bought a dual alternator pulley for my S5 alternator and i am having fitment issues. The person who I bought it from said it might have been a defect.

The bore for the dual alternator pulley is .66"

my alternator shaft measures .60''

it could be a defect or it could possibly be that my S5 alternator is off stock specs.

The man who sold it too me said he had one pulley left and the bore measured .66 as well. It is the dual rotor shaped alternator pully for the FC and it was purchased from 2751 engineering. It has a spacer milled in the pully for clearence.

Ayways, my alternator was replaced by the previous owner of the car as well. I have receipts and it could possibly be a reman- not sure...

So my big question is this..

What is the diameter of a STOCK s5 alternator shaft??

i really need to know and would greatly appreciate some help.

does anyone know the shaft size of the FD alternator? the man who sold it to me said he never machined or sold an FD pulley.

 

S5 ALT has a .59375 Shaft...

The pulley you purchased is machined for the larger FD/Cosmo Re ALT shaft..

I have on S5 dual pulley left if you end up needing a replacement. Had them all sold, then the buyer of the red one backed out.
