Big problem!!!

Ok yesterday I mentioned that I got a "jdm" motor from this place and it was spinning free and everything.....now yesterday I take that **** apart to clean and paint, and when I put the uIM back I spin the engine, cus I had put atf, and all of a sudden I spin it and it spins about 3/4 of a full rotation and then it geets stuck, like if it hits something, then I spin it the other way and its the same ****..... do you people think it could be a bolt, or washer???? Im fukin pissed even though it was probably my fault.... any IDeas on how to get it out???

#1, use subject lines that actually reflect the problem.

#2, pull the plugs out and try to drain the engine.

#3, did you drop anything down the intake (bolts, small animals, etc?)

If either the fwd or aft stationary gears have chipped/ missing teeth (or were removed or loosened for some reason), the rotor can "displace" itself internally while you're turning the engine & get stuck like you're describing (don't ask how I know this...)

I pulled the plugs, and took of the exhaust so that it can drain out good.... and no I doubt a bolt got down there but maybe it could've...and its definately not carbon lock... The engine was spinning freely before, the way the motor gets stuck is like a metal to metal, type of sound.... Like if the flywheel were hitting something... Tommorrow Imma take apart the rear housing to see if maybe that **** is there... but if its in the front, I doubt I may want to put everything back together w/o changing the coolant seals... but other than that, I dont know what else to do.. my boy is coming over tommorrow with a worm type of **** that allows you to see inside the motor....

Well if you used ATF there is a chance that it dislodged a chunk of carbon. That is why it may be carbon locked.

ok first of all, from what I can see through the exhaust ports, the insided is clean *** hell.... and unless carbon has metalic properties, then I doubt its carbon..

My bet is you've dropped a nut or washer into an intake runner. I've done the same thing on my FD. A royal PITA to get it out. Depedning on whcih side of the motor it dropped down will dictate how to retrieve it. If it dropped down the port side you might be able to catch it with a magnetic on a string through an intake port. If it's dropped down the plug side...you're screwed. Will have to disassemble motor unless you can see it through a spark plug hole.
Take a look and have a chuckle at my expense:
