Lightbulb Best sounding exhaust, mad neighbors

i've got a stock internal s4-tii, and stock turbo with a racing beat dp, and test pipe with a racing beat cat-back

i wanna know what the general consensus is for the best sounding exhaust
for a s4-tii.

what combo's sound the best, or what those combos sound like.

RB REV II system is excellent. i think the setup you have now should sound pretty close to the REV II.

You should look into adding some kind of pre-silencer to your exhaust, it'll cut down on rasp and quiet it down a bit more.

I have the 3" racingbeat turbo-back was mentioned earlier^ and love it. it has another giant resonator (strait through) and it makes it sound really nice. A guy down the street from me who works on exotics for a living commented that I had a nice sounding exhaust

I run the 3" racing beat turbo catback through a straight downpipe with no presilencer, and it is still pretty quiet. People are actually amazed at how quiet and smooth the car sounds... until the wastegate opens at least

haha i dont think i can, my mic connects to my desktop so my setup isnt portible, unless i do a driveby my house which i think the mic can pick up but i dont wanna blast down my street lol
I know for video games, they put the cars on dynos so they can get the sound without the "road noise and wind".

The best rotary exhaust sounds I've heard are straight pipe to "cherry bomb" glasspack muffler. cheap, zero backpressure, quiet at cruise, sex at high rpm's. Put one in line for each rotor, and if too loud still, put in another! they are cheap & easy to weld up.

but go ahead and spend $1k+ on RB or whatever if you like

Cheers

a 3" turbo back from racing beat is $825... and rotaries melt glasspacks for breakfast... a glass pack lasts maybe 4 months on a rotary, I've had my racing beat exhaust for 4 years, it's made of stainless steel so it doesn't rust, you do the math on which one is a better value...

Ebay motoria with one silencer in. Full stainlesss steel from out the back of the turbo through duals. I get nothing but compliments for 280.00. SSautochrome bootleg cheapness FTW.

supertrapp is ******* sweet. Great back pressure and easily "tunable" with the plates. and it weighs like 3 pounds

I've seen some flow stuff on them and they're really really effective mufflers for cheap

3in Corksport dp, 3in stainless midpipe, to 5zigen GN+ catback. I love how it sounds, nice and deep, and not terribly loud.

i like my motoria/ corksport single with resonator. it took me a while to get used to. its pretty loud. But for some reason the inner rice came out in me and i think it sounds mean at high rpm and commands a bit more respect from the mustang before i beat that ***:-) i got mine for 200 used turboback. I'm going to change out the muffler because i think only half of it is an actual muffler. but bang for the buck nice.. I have to keep the noise down when coming in late at night. Thank god i live where the population seems to have motorcycles. bottom line not quiet and cheap decently made(pretty points)

I was getting ready to order the RB Catback but read this. I have a corksport downpipe on my new 88 TII. Now will the corksport downpipe + RB Catback result in too loud of exhaust?? just wondering because I have the RB + Bonez Cat on my NA and it sounds good.

This is Hypertek's mp3 file.
RacingBeat exhaust Mp3

That actually sounds really good. I thought the RB's sound like lawnmowers

Here's an old vid of mine. maybe you can hear the exhaust.
it's an old vid so don't mind the stuff you see haha.

Next to the Volume, there's a google drop down, click that and hit original size if you wish..
