Took my car to the studio to throw a few verses




Actually i was just curious how it would come out. I bought this mic and preamp for vocal reasons last year, and since i havent made any decent beats to warrant throwing vocals on yet, i decided to see how it would work on my car.

My room is like right there, so my chord reaches. I had to start the recording on my computer, and run out to the car. Since i cant hear how it sounds while recording i had to make a few guesses and a few trys.

Racing beat 3” downpipe

Maybe I should record the engine bay? Not sure how that would sound, will hear belts and mechanical fan etc..

Since i play alot of PC race sims, maybe I can get someone to use the audio if they decide to make a rx7.

Tight work, that should be linked somewhere for everyone that wants to hear what a racing beat system sounds like....matter of fact, you should invite some friends over, and catologue as many exhausts as you can!!! Then FC owners will have a database from which to make informed decisions. Just a thought.

you should do one with some load on the engine.
Idle reving and load reving sounds complete different.

 

yah i would like to, i dont know i would do that without a dyno...

 

you could set up a small one in the hatch, though you might hear some other noise
