I launched at 3000-3500RPM on my 86 NA and got a 60FT time of 2.414, what you guys dont mention is whether you have LSD or not??
I am going back to the quarter mile this weekend for the second time to see if I can improve on my first runs.
My rx has no LSD so with that in mind what RPM do think I can launch at with minimum spin??

Launching
When I had my old clutch in the car I used to take off at about 4500rpm slipping the clutch to get a good clean start....( Never raced with slicks )
Since having the sprung button clutch in the car I have found that taking off easy the car boggs down and if I rev it up and dump it , it smokes the **** outa the tyres.. I cant win!
Just a note, I have been building my car to run in full street trim. I wont run slicks down the 1/4 for that reson.
So now I am playing with different tyres and spring/ shock setups to see what works best..
