Best EGT Guage for my turbo project.

Well, after looking at the DIY Wideband site for a while, i realized that i could afford it..until it came down to the 300 dollar sensor that was needed. **** THAT, i have seen EGT guages go for under 200 on ebay new in the box with everything included ready to go. The only thing with these guages are, they are pretty slow to let you know what your mixture is, which is bad.... seriously bad. So what im asking is which one are you guys running and how quick does it respond? And if you guys know which is the most responsive one to get? I have been looking at the autometer pyrometers which seem to be alright. Thanks guys.

I got my Greddy EGT for less than $200 from the Rx7Store. 60mm, peak, hold, and warning. That was the silver one too, which is $10 more than white or black faces.

What wideband kit did you come to the conclusion the sensor was 300? This new kit uses the Bosch sensor which is not scarce like the NTK sensor has become. The sensor for this kit is 100 bones. Cheaper than the NTK sensor in its hayday.

IMO a wideband is a much better tool than an EGT. Have you seen V2.0 from techedge? We are talking A/F logging, RPM logging, temp logging? How does that compare to the EGTs peak hold?

Check out the specs. If you can build the DIY kit you will be miles a head. I had hardly no electroics experience but I was able to build a v1.0 with no major problems.

Give techedge a look man. http://wbo2.com/

Rock on.....Rock on

Best of luck man. Like I said I built the V1.0. Got it running just as the new versions were rolling out.

Make sure you keep us updated man. So are you going DIY?
