What is the benefit of porting the wastegate on my 88 turbo 2 and how would i go about doing it if I see some actual benefits

 

If you install a full exhaust the tiny wastegate will not be able to flow enough to control boost. Boost will skyrocket and the fuel system will not cope. The engine will lean out, detonate and die! This is not a performance mod, it's a "keep you engine in one piece" mod.
As for doing it, basically pull the turbo off and make the wategate hole bigger!
