bending back my sub frame

My sub frame is bent pretty bad on the front passenger side right where the a arm connects to it . i took the a arm off to try and bend it back as straight as i can but no use so do yall think it is possible to heat it up and bent it back as straight as i can..i would just try and replace the whole thing but theres this bolt that is hard as hell to get to because to the dent in the sub frame.

well to be compleatly honest with u im not an expertt however its physics ... once a peice of metal is bent its weaker ...... then u bend it back u will one never get it straight again and 2 it will be twice as weak ..... so yes look to replace ur subframe ... if u can even do that lol i dont know .. but if u can that would be ur best bet

not that it can't be repaired but it weakens the structure of the car, how badly was it damaged?

pretty bad dude... um broke the motor mount bracket , threw off the alignment bad...like every too weeks i was buying new tires. but the a arms and and frame look all right. i took it to an alignment shop and they told me to replace the motor mount and new sub frame (cross member). i just need it fixed to go to work and back im not trying to drift in it or anything like that.

you can just try picking up a good subframe from a wrecking yard and see how off the alignment holes are for it which will tell you how badly the frame is bent if at all but it likely is. only a frame shop can repair it best.

cool.... see i need it to be driveable ....so i can start taking it in to differnt shops to see what can be done. your right about the frame never going to be the same but i need it at least intill tax return comes so i can get another one with a better frame and keep the engine and wheels and other stuff off this car.

well if all of the suspension components are intact and not wearing abnormally you can adjust the toe to help keep it from eating tires or just take it in and have a shop align it as best they can until you have money to repair the frame or buy a different car.

Just remove and replace the front subframe. Righty tighty, lefty lucy. Been there, done that. Car drives plenty good fine.

I don't think I spent over fifty bucks for it at Apple Wrecking in GP.
