beeping from dash

Well i purchased a 1987 rx-7 a few days ago.and iswapped out the steering wheel witha spw wheel and a momo hub.Afteri drove off last night a beeping noise came from the dash.its 5 beeps then quits for 1 sec. then it continues so forth. Then the beeping stops and it continues after about 2-3 minutes.I spoke to some one at rotary power here in gardena and they said something about power steering.and i spoke to someone else and they said it could be my fluids so check them.I did! all the fluids are there and full. Can someone please help me figure out what this could be!

I believe thats the p/s system. Do a quick search on beep or p/s beep and you should find a decent fix.

I'll bet it's a steering angle sensor error from the PS since you've recently been in there.

I had the same problem myself. Plus when I turn left my signal still stays on. Turning right it shuts off like normal. Anyway I just yanked the damn fuse to the power stearing. To me its just as easy to turn without it as it is with it. But if you manage to find a real fix....PM me.

You didn't align the steering wheel postion sensor when you put your aftermarket wheel on.

If you are lucky you just bent the plastic tabs...

If you really screwed the pooch, you broke the sensor.

Pull the wheel and re-align the sensor to match up to the holes on the back of the steering wheel adapter.

This has been covered countless times... please search next time, as well as read the FAQ for FC thread at the top of the section before posting.
