Question Bando alt belt - 2320 or 2315?

So a fellow owner in Texas has sent me some Bando alt belts since I've yet to use a Gates that lasted longer than about 2 months.

The code on her belts is:

2320 9.5x820La

The code on the one I last got from the dealership (before they discontinued them) is:

2315 9.5x800La

Any comments on the difference between the two types? Should I be concerned about using the 2320?

Sounds like one is 20mm longer.
If it fits, who cares.

I know this thread is super old, but I use Bando 2320 belts recently and I keep shredding them apart. I have searched and searched and searched for a solution. I do run a 3L220 yoohoo belt, but it deflects a good bit for its length, and it doesn't even get hot. Also, I had this problem before I had the yoohoo, which I thought would aide my solution. The Bando belt seems to sit higher than the edges of the pulley. I can see on my brand new alternator's fresh black pulley where the belt rubs to, and it's only about halfway down. Is there any difference running a 9mm rather than a 9.5?
I'm really running out of options here. I have checked deflection, pulley alignment and seating, and more recently, replaced the alternator. Not much money left.

What are you saying is unecessary? Not everyone can get to their threads right away and I needed my problem to be resolved three hours ago.

different belts, different alternators- maybe you are installing them wrong?

Changing an alternator and belt is monkey-simple. Foolproof aside from belt tension, but I have 1/2" deflection, so I don't know.

Is the dual sheave pulley idea any better? I hear the same from guys who do that route too.

Removed all plugs from the alt so I have no electrical loads, and the alternator works like a top, doesn't get hot. What's my problem?

I have been trying to avoid making a new thread because there ARE so many on this subject. I have literally spent HOURS searching.
