Bad water jacket? Blown Seal?
As many of you are probably aware, I recently finished my 6 port turbo project and was immediately plauged with problems. After fixing my injectors & plugs (which turned out to be the problem in the end) the day had come to get my car's wg/down pipe plumbed into the rest of the exhaust and start tuning. After about 15 miles of driving, suddenly there was a dramatic loss in power and the car shut off. I immediately freaked out because I was sure I had blown my apex seals. Luckily a friend of a friend lived about 100 yards away ( god bless the SBR SCCA). We towed my car to his garage and proceded to check things out.
What I discovered:
1. The car will start for about a half second and then die.
2.Oddly, my coolant resovoir was drained, even though I had been stopping every 5 miles or so and checking it, and it was fine naught but 5 minutes before hand.
3.I pulled the EGI fuse and the leading plugs one at a time, there were 3 strong pulses from each rotor.
Notes:
I wasn't under boost as far as I can remember, and if I was, It was less than 4 lbs. and my SAFC is currently set to +5% across the low throttle and +15 across the high map. ( I figured that was safe...maybe even a bit excessive)
When this happened, i was at about 20% throttle, 30 mph and <3500 rpm.
I will be giving the car a proper compression test within the next day or two.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If it were a bad coolant seal it would presurize the system forcing fluid into the tank, then overflowing onto the ground. Typically the system pulls coolant in from the tank when it is cooling down.

popped off an IC coupler if you are running one.

We have a winner! Apparently, the IC coupler right at the compressor popped off but rested against it, so it looked ok at first glance. If only I had a GM MAF or the Speed Density kit from corksport. God I feel stupid...
thanks again guys
