bad voltage reg in driver window

i need to know where the voltage regulator for the dirver side window is. my windows go up and down but they don't stop when it gets to the top or the bottom. it just wants to keep going.

You have to let go of the switch...

If they don't stop when you let go of the switch, then you have a bad switch.

and there is no voltage regulator in the power window system, there is only switches and motors.

in the passenger side the window goes up and when it reaches the top it stops moving. there is something that sees the amperage go up when the window stops and cuts the power to the motor. all power windows have them to stop the motor form burning out. the window stops when i let go of the switch but it will go up to the top then drop a little then go up and it keeps doing that. it never really closes all the way

Umm, no...There isnt any type of cut-off in your car. If you hold the switch up, you will eventually burn-out your motor.

Jarrett is right. And if it is dropping a little, the tracks are loose or worn out.

You'll have to pull the door panel and see what the actual problem is

take the panel off. and there are 2 (I think) main bolts the hole the window in. loosen them off a bit. they try to move it up and down. the window will have more play now and will probably go all the way up. then you can re tighen them.
