BACV plug?

is the BACV essential to keep the car running? i just changed the injectors and put everything back on and it didnt start the first crank. so i stopped and waited, then it cranked again and it fired up and i reved a few times and let off, then the motor shut off and wont start.

if the BACV plug is essential, which does the plug lead to? does it go under the UIM and come out on the intake side? is it located by the injector plugs?

You probably flooded it. Pull the egi fuse in the engine bay and crank for a 10-15 seconds. Plug back in try again.

not flooded. pulled the egi fuse and cranked, then replaced and cranked. i double checked too.

i tried using starter fluid and it didnt help.

so would the BACV hinder me from starting the car?

I think it just controls idle. My buddy doesn't have it and his starts fine. But his car is ran by black magic and voodoo.

the car's not flooded. i unplugged the connector below the steering column and cranked, i unplugged the egi fuse and cranked, and i even unplugged the leading plugs and cranked, put in oil, replaced plugs, and cranked.

nothing. it just turns but doesnt fire.

edit: just realized that my friend gave me n/a injectors instead of turbo injectors.

would this cause my car not to fire at all? it should still get fuel right? both injectors are high imp.

Do you have a s4 or s5. I can't remember which one had high imp but without a resistor pack they won't work on low imp cars.

i've got an s4.

these are the injectors i had on the car:

88 13B Turbo, high square offset, 550cc, purple, 195500-1370

these are the injectors i THINK my friend gave me:

88 13B NA, high square offset, 460cc, purple, 195500-1350

the thing is, the NA injectors arent purple, theyre red. which leads me to think that they are 86-87 13B NA, low square center, 460cc, red, 195500-1350

BUT the key isnt centered, it's offset and it's now low, it's high.
