Question backspacing on the fc

ok,so ya long story short..i know the backspace is 40 mm ..but the rims im looking at have 101.6mm of backspace?um do i need wheel spacers,,or a wider body to accomodate these tires? and would it even be possible to throw that on the front wheels,,and theyre 7 inches wide?

are those specs right? 101.6mm that it alot that is 4 inches exact... do you have a link to the wheel? store manufacturer etc? need more info. right now those specs don't look right for a 7inch wide wheel.

I'm here for a bit longer so let me know,

I might be misunderstanding you but, yes, the stock wheels have a 40mm offset. If you're saying these other wheels have a 101.6mm offset then no it wont fit.

ok you are dealing with a big fat 0 for your offset. so I'm not sure if the calipers and brakes will fit behind those wheels. SOMEONE PLEASE LET US KNOW ABOUT THE FITMENT.

hope that helps a little,
TR

EDIT: you may just need some spacers.

lol just looked at your tag. I live in Duxbury. well I go to school in Boston. NE University but I'm home normally on the weekends unless i get held for work in Boston...

you can get spacers at alot of places. including (drum roll) http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...1611&langId=-1

other places have good sets of spacers that are nice and thick and include lug studs in them so your lug nuts still get alot of thread to bite into.

EDIT: here's another link just to give you an idea what I mean about the secondary llugs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5x114...3832QQtcZphoto

Track car?
We're talking drag racing or road racing?

You know you're NOT SUPPOSED to be road racing with those things, right???

huh? so if the offset is 0 on those 15x7, they definetely will not fit unless you get some type of extended fenders. I dont think brake clearance would be the primary issue.

good god man...0 offset? first off are those wheels rwd wheels? cause that would make a big diff. and the offset for the fc is 25 to 30mm on rwd wheels, thats called a mid offset so even a 22mm offset would work....22mm would work on a first gen as well....i would return those wheels "like no ones biznazz" lol....oh and i dont recommend spacers especally i repeat especally if your racing....good luck....

look in any car mag. they have a page full of cheap knockoff rims, like sometimes $500 for 4 rims with tires.

Stuff this into the keyword search: (rx7,"rx-7") wheels

I see wheels sets for $200 or so all the time.
