Steel wheels- Anyone know where to get with RWD (tiny) backspacing?

Having trouble...

I'd like to get a set of ~15x8-15x9 black steelies with D-openings for my FC. The problem... I can't find anything with a near 0-20mm backspacing. I'm finding plenty in the 2-4 inch backspacing range, but thats entirely to far.

Any of you guys know anywhere that might have what I'm looking for?

For the front I'll need something with a 10-15mm backspacing (.5") and the back I'll need a 1" backspacing. Its kinda frustrating, because I'd really prefer not using spacers, but still can't find any steel rims with this backspace range...

Backspacing or offset???
We got a set of 16" x 8" with a -6mm offset.
Call Summit Racing and ask about their steel rims - their sales reps are pretty helpful in this area.

BTW, ours are from U.S. Wheel.

Maybe I'm getting confused with offset -vs- backspacing...

Anyone have any ideas to help me here? I'd liek 15 (or 16)x8 (or 9 preferably). I have wide fenders in the front. if backspacing needs to be 15mm for the front, what would the backspacing need to be for a 15x8 wheel?

You guys don't have to do every wheel... I just need to be shown how to do it once and i can figure it out...

EDIT: Thanks Ted, I was weary of calling Summit because I saw all these 2-4" numbers and i'm like... thats waaaaay bigger tham 15mm... I might give them a call later today.

One quick question about that, I like one of their steel designs, but its listed as a light truck wheel... does that mean not applicable for cars or...?

Ah, it sounds like you're getting offset and backspacing confused.
Backspacing is the measurement from the back of the rim to the mating face of where the hub bolts to the rim.

Backspacing on the stock Turbo II rims is 7" / 2 + 40mm = 128.9mm or 5.07" or just about 5 inches.

Try to keep the front rims at around 5.0" of backspacing.

The rears can go 6.0" inches of backspacing - stock FD wheels are 8", 8" / 2 +50mm = 6".

Talk to the Summit Racing reps, they can answer all your concerns with the rims.

On a 15x8 wheel 0 offset is the same as 4" of backspacing.
Offset is meaured from the centerline of the wheel. Backspacing is measured from the inner edge.
A 15x8 with 15mm of backspacing would be a SUPER deep dish.
It doesn't really matter what it's listed for as long as it has the specs you want (size, bolt pattern, backspacing). I'm looking at a set of offroad truck rims because they are the cheapest thing I can find in a 16x10 with 5" of backspacing.
Good luck

-edit- Woops, Ted beat me w/ the response.

No, it means the bolt face is right in the middle.
The rim is 10" wide.... 5" of backspacing equals exactly halfway.

ahhh, got ya...

so what is safe backspacing on front and rears on the FC... err, how far can the wheel overlap the rotor/hub until it hits something?
